This Outback and GBR tour includes one day discovering the Outback and the next day exploring the GBR.
Choose which order to experience this tour choose the dates for each experience when booking.
Start your day with the North Queensland outback, including Chillagoe Caves.
Day One Outback Adventure including Chillagoe Caves
Chillagoe lies within a belt of limestone approximately 5 km wide and 45 km long.
During this day we travel 215 km or 3 hours’ drive west of Cairns, heading to the northern end of the Atherton Tablelands and then over the Great Dividing Range.
Next, embark on a remarkable journey back to a prehistoric time when dinosaurs ruled the earth.
Then we visit Mareeba Wetlands for morning tea and a cruise. This magnificent has Giant Lotus Lilly’s along with so many different Water Birds as well.
Along the way, we will travel the back blocks of this wetland area, viewing Wallabies, Emus and other wildlife.
With the agricultural paddocks of this fertile area, Next cross over the Great Divide and into the Western watershed.
Travel through historical towns and rolling hills, rich in minerals and towering limestone karsts scattered around Chillagoe.
After delving into the history of the copper smelters, it is time for lunch at a unique outback pub.
Day two Great Barrier Reef Tour
Reef Experience is the only “Fully Inclusive” Great Barrier Reef Trip departing from Cairns. Step onboard Cairns only all-inclusive GBR tour with all the extras included at one great price.
Starting with Inner City Bus transfers, BBQ Bacon and Egg Rolls and fruit platters, Coffee or Tea for breakfast, unlimited snorkelling, scuba diving.
This tour also includes Glass bottom boat tour and Government Reef Levies.
Dedicated Crew that will help you to snorkel if you have concerns.
While you are there explore the spectacular underwater World of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

What to Bring for the Outback

- Hat, camera, closed in footwear, comfortable clothing, sunscreen and water bottle
- The steps into the caves requires a reasonable level of fitness.
- This tour may not operate, or the itinerary may change due to the wet season.
How to get there
Reef Experience departs from
Cairns Marina: ‘A-Finger’ View map to Cairns Marlin Marina
Boarding commences at 7:30 am for check-in, directly on the vessel ‘Reef Experience.’
Arrive back to Cairns Marina at approximately 4:30 pm.

We have a passion for showing you Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Please make sure you understand the scuba diving laws.
Queensland, Australia, has the strictest scuba diving rules and the safest scuba diving record. Scuba diving is regulated by the Queensland Government Code of Practice and we are required by law to comply with all regulations.
We recommend that our passengers complete a dive medical questionnaire.
Some medical conditions, age and medications may prevent you from scuba diving.
It is always our mission to provide our passengers with the very best Great Barrier Reef experience.

Flying after Scuba Diving
After a scuba dive for a single no decompression scuba dive you must not fly for at least 18 hours.
For multiple dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive.
We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours.
